Trinity Martial Arts & Self Defence is run as a commercial entity. While our income may be limited, any profits are reinvested into the club for the provision and maintenance of equipment, training, and essential resources for students, instructors and staff.

Trinity Martial Arts & Self Defence ensures that all instructors are fully insured through BMABA Group Insurance. A copy of the relevant insurance documentation is available upon request or may be verified at https://bmaba.org.uk/verify/.
We take our responsibility for safeguarding members seriously. All students are insured through BMABA Group Insurance for member-to-member liability.
Trinity Martial Arts & Self Defence provides training for adults and children, and therefore, all our instructors, assistant instructors and volunteers hold an enhanced DBS check. Evidence of this can be provided upon request or verified at https://bmaba.org.uk/verify/.
Trinity Martial Arts & Self Defence ensures that our instructors meet the minimum qualification standards required by our governing association. This includes a minimum grade of Black Belt.
We take health and safety seriously. All instructors are trained in first aid, and sufficient first aid equipment is present at all training sessions. A recorded risk assessment is held on file and a dynamic risk assessment is carried out before each class to ensure safety protocols are in place.
Trinity Martial Arts & Self Defence is a registered member of BMABA (British Martial Arts & Boxing Association) and IKA-UK (International KAPAP Association – United Kingdom). Our BMABA membership number is 22829, and this may be verified at any time at https://bmaba.org.uk/verify/.

Trinity Martial Arts & Self Defence maintains a transparent pricing structure with no hidden fees. All payments can be made via Direct Debit, card, cash or bank transfer, and receipts may be issued for all transactions upon request.
The registration and membership fee is £35, which includes association membership, insurance and a student’s first belt. This is payable after the trial class to continue training as a full member. The registration and membership fee recurs yearly.
Regular class fees vary based on the type of session, but our standard class fee is around £10. Please confirm current rates before committing to training.
Gradings beyond the first belt are also payable with fees starting at £35.
There is no binding contract, and students may discontinue training at any time by giving 1 month’s paid notice. Students may continue to train until the end of the notice period.
Trinity Martial Arts & Self Defence is affiliated with BMABA (British Martial Arts & Boxing Association) and IKA-UK (International KAPAP Association – United Kingdom) to ensure high standards; however, we remain an independent entity. We comply with all applicable laws and regulations but are not subject to compulsory regulation by any single governing body.
Martial arts in the UK does not have a single governing regulatory body. If you wish to raise concerns about Trinity Martial Arts & Self Defence, please refer to our Complaints Policy & Procedure first.
You may also report concerns to our association, BMABA (British Martial Arts & Boxing Association), by contacting safeguarding@bmaba.org.uk. However, please note that your complaint may not be investigated unless it has first been raised via our internal procedure.
